I am still in the process of completing the reading of two books, Ben Hur by Lew Wallace, which is not like the movie epic as far as I have read, and A Pattern of Lies A Bess Crawford Mystery, by Charles Todd. Let me just say that so far Ben Hur is a thinking book and not a summer beach read. My other book could be a summer beach read, but it is teaching me a lot about WWI.
I think you’ll recall that I have been working on 3 different reading lists, My A to Z List, our women’s book club list (hence the reading of Ben Hur and no Charlton Heston hasn’t appeared yet), and my TBR jar. I am doing well with the book club list and I have made a small dent in my A to Z List. My TBR jar is gathering dust. So many men and so little time. Forget that! It is so many books and so little time.
I will list the books I have finished from my A to Z List:
The Girl from the Train by Irma Joubert
Inferno by Dan Brown
Last to Die by Tess Gerritsen
Under the Knife by Tess Gerritsen
Xanadu: Marco Polo and Europe’s Discovery of the East by John Mann
I have to confess that sometimes I stray from by lists when a title comes across my way that I feel I must read now. I also receive books in exchange for book reviews. I love the opportunity to try authors I haven’t read yet. It’s like getting an unexpected book from a friend.
What have you been reading lately? I would love to hear about the books you have read. It would also be a great way to share with fellow bloggers.
