Recently we posted a note about developing an attitude of gratitude and suggested one way to do that was to write a thank you note to someone on a weekly basis. Another clever way to do this is send a short and sweet postcard. You can even hand make some postcards out of card stock. It is really simple. Cut some card stock into postcard size – make them bigger than the green ones you get from the post office when you sign for certified mail. Draw a picture on the front or if you aren’t an artist, let your children or grandchildren draw a picture on it. If you don’t draw or don’t have any one to do the artwork for you, put some really cute stickers on them. Got stickers? Many of us do. Use them. Either way you go, the homemade touch will add an extra smile from the recipient. It shows you took the time to make something for them. Postcard stamps are only 34 cents. You can even carry some with you and write them while waiting for your doctor appointment, etc. So take a couple of minutes today and send a note of appreciation. It will bring joy to the recipient and good karma back to you.
