Shelf Control is a meme hosted by Lisa at Bookshelf Fantasies. It is a weekly celebration of the unread books on our shelves. Pick a book you own but haven’t read, write a post about it (suggestions: include what it’s about, why you want to read it, and when you got it), and then link up!
Happy Holidays! I am excited to discuss a book I am hoping to read as soon as I finish the 3 books I am working on. The title of the book is The New Policeman by Kate Thompson. Who knows where time goes? This book has been on my shelf for a year. That is so embarrassing. I just see books that intrigue me and I just have to get them even though my bookshelves are overflowing. Then it takes a while to get to them.
I was attracted at first by the wonderful cover. Then the question on the front of the cover grabbed my attention. I seem to not have enough time ever. I can’t remember for sure, but I believe I got this at Barnes and Noble.
The story starts out with JJ’s mother wanting the gift of more time for her birthday. Where is he supposed to find that? His neighbor tells him about a place where time stands still. Sounds good to him. However, there is a big catch. For JJ to find this place he has to vanish from his own life. When he does, a new policeman comes to town…
The mystery sounds very intriguing. I had better finish my current reads quickly so I can get to this book. Happy Reading!
