We have added two new scents to our collection of essential oils from which we make soaps and bath salts – cinnamon and eucalyptus.
Cinnamon is used all over the world for a variety of purposes. Cinnamon is not just a spice for food anymore. It has properties that are beneficial for health. It is used for respiratory and menstrual problems, heart disorders, and skin infections, etc. Cinnamon boosts brain activity, attention span, decreases nervousness and anxiety, and improves memory. It has antiseptic properties that help fight viral, bacterial, and fungal infections. Cinnamon topically is good for pain and also is helpful in reducing arthritis symptoms. Cinnamon has a delightful aroma and can help bring back pleasant holiday memories.
Breathe deeply and enjoy.
Eucalyptus leaves are the delight of the Australian Koala Bear. But aside from being the staple in a Koala’s diet, humans can enjoy the benefits of eucalyptus as well. The dried leaves and oil are used to make medicine. It can be used for upset stomach, fever, respiratory tract infections, wound healing, loss of appetite, and burns. Do you remember your mom putting eucalyptus oil (an ingredient in Vicks) in the vaporizer when you were sick as a child? Do not take the oil by mouth. Diluted eucalyptus oil can be applied directly to the skin for pain relief, and nasal stuffiness. Eucalyptus is used as a fragrance in perfumes, and mouthwash, antiseptic, ointments, toothpaste, and cough drops.
Aromatherapy really works. Bath salts are $5 for a 4 ounce jar. Soaps are $1.75 a bar. Relax and enjoy.
